According to an AVG study, more than 92% of children under the age of 2 have a digital footprint. Therefore the question is not if you have a brand but to what extend you choose to guide and cultivate the brand.
People can only say something about you when they know about you and therefore you must create that visibility and accessibility even when you not in the room via your personal brand. Be strategic about your brand by knowing how you want people to perceive you. This does not mean you can’t be human. On the contrary authenticity is key in the human age. People do business with people.
You can’t hide in your office behind a computer and expect to build your personal brand. You need to get out and make yourself visible and accessible. Attend conferences, networking and social events. Open your social media profiles to the public and allow for interaction. You also never know who you are motivating and might just require that inspiration at that moment.
